The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) will commence with its Graduate Internship Programme on 1 April 2014 and unemployed South African graduates residing in the Western Cape are invited to apply. If you are in possession of a degree or diploma with an average pass mark of 60% in one of the following academic fields, you may apply:

  • Ref. IP01/2014 – Supply Chain / Procurement Management
  • Ref. IP02/2014 – Financial Management, Accounting & Auditing
  • Ref. IP03/2014 – Human Resource Management
  • Ref. IP04/2014 – Public Management

The Graduate Internship Programme is a youth programme (focusing on ages 20-26 years) and will provide opportunities to gain work experience for a maximum period of twelve (12) months, whereby successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R4 035.00. Women and people with disabilities are particularly encouraged to apply.

Candidates must submit a completed Application Form (Z83 Form), obtainable from any Government department, together with a certified copy of the relevant qualification and green South African bar-coded ID as well as the academic results certfied by the academic institution
