I thought I should share my correspondence with one company representative about some of the things visitors to this site do.
If you are one of these people, will the following message make you change your ways?
“… It is really shocking to see how applicants forward their details, no content in the email, no subject, no cover letter and the most inappropriate applicants to date. Forwarded emails from their cellphones with all the details of applications to other company’s, spelling mistakes… the list goes on and on. I am sure they forward the position to any person looking for employment even if they are not qualified …”.
In my culture there is a saying along the lines, “It takes one potato to rot the whole bag“.
If you’re one of the people who do the above, don’t mess what I am trying to do here.
In case you thought this is your path of least resistance, it is not! Here is the young person I am trying to help:
- The you young student who has everything it takes make something of his/her life but has no one to point him/her in the right direction.
- That young man or woman who lives in the middle of nowhere with no computer, internet, fax machine or newspaper but a cheap passed down cellphone and the goal to make something good of his/her life.
- that young man or woman who’s patient enough to read instructions/requirements to see whether they meet the requirements of position.
- Not you, who won’t READ even if your life depended on it.
